How to Create an Internal Linking Rule
What is a Rule? A "Rule" is the high-level container for your linking strategy. It tells Catalinks where the links should physically appear on your store and how many links to display at once.
Step 1: Start a New Rule
Open the Catalinks app dashboard in your Shopify Admin.
Navigate to the Rules tab and click Create New Rule.
Step 2: Configure Rule Settings
Rule Name: Give your rule an internal name (e.g., "Winter Snowboard Silo").
Placement Type: Choose whether these links should render in the Above the Fold block or the Below the Fold block.
Max Links Per Page: Use the slider to set a limit on how many links can appear on a single page to prevent overcrowding your UI.
Step 3: Activate
Set the rule status to Active and click Save.
Your rule is now ready to receive Match Patterns!
